A one-time rail hotel
This one-time Great Western Rail Hotel, was the brainchild of Victorian engineering svengali, Isambard Kingdom Brunel, originally built in 1844, this hotel is reputedly the oldest surviving rail hotel in the world. This overnight home to dignitaries like Sir Winston Churchill was tragically gutted by a fire in the 1960’s then subsequently used as office space right up until 2005.
Carrying on our tradition of lovingly creating hotel spaces from historically rich buildings, you’ll be pleased to know this old girl is well and truly back to stay.
